Speed limit changes take effect in city north of Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Valley Center Department of Public Safety announced on Tuesday that several speed limit changes have recently gone into effect.

The city is encouraging residents to familiarize themselves with the speed limit changes.

Driver clocked at 96 mph in 40 mph zone in Wichita

The Department of Public Safety said the changes reflect the city’s commitment to “make Valley Center a safer community.”

“These changes were made to improve traffic safety and better reflect the development and traffic patterns in these areas,” the department wrote on Facebook. “Please watch for the new signs, adjust your speed accordingly, and help us keep our streets safe for everyone.”
