Boys and Girls Clubs of Spokane County receives $12,500 donation

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A generous donation from First Interstate Bank has restored hope at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Spokane County after a devastating burglary threatened to disrupt summer programming for local youth.

The $12,500 gift arrived nearly two weeks after a thief struck the North-Town club, stealing over 40 tablets and causing extensive property damage. The break-in initially left the nonprofit facing losses of up to $25,000. With First Interstate Bank’s contribution, the club has now fully recovered financially from the incident.
