CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Clarksville leaders say keeping property taxes lower came with a difficult trade-off: delaying millions of dollars in infrastructure projects the city says are needed to keep up with rapid growth.
The City Council recently approved a new budget that raises the city’s property tax rate to $1.01, significantly lower than the 31-cent increase originally proposed by Mayor Joe Pitts.
