COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office gang task force lieutenant and a former officer-turned community leader are calling on parents and neighbors to take action as gun violence reaches younger and younger children across the region.
The push comes after eight separate shootings in west Georgia and east Alabama over the past two weeks left four people dead — one of them age 11, the other, 18 years old — and others injured.
