The city is teasing the last act for its spaceship-style Fort Worth Convention Center Arena, which will be demolished early next year to make way for construction of a modern expansion.
The arena will host a free party noon-4 p.m. Sept. 20, its final event. The It’s Goin’ Down arena farewell will include live music, family-friendly activities, interactive experiences, commemorative merchandise, giveaways and a historical exhibit.
The city expects to release more details soon, including a website with images of artifacts and an invitation for residents to submit their own photos or memorabilia.
