NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in the Lower Ninth Ward Thursday morning, July 16.
According to officers, around 12:19 a.m. a woman was walking near the corner of Egania Street and North Claiborne Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle.
Bus fire shuts down part of General De Gaulle Drive
The woman was declared dead on the scene.
The driver and vehicle stayed on the scene as part of the investigation.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified…
