SHUQUALAK — A warrant has been issued for a woman in connection with a July 4 shooting outside a Shuqualak café that left another woman wounded, and investigators believe the suspect has fled to Nebraska.
Sherika Yates is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting, which wounded Brendasha Bryant, according to the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department. Yates had not been arrested as of Wednesday, and investigators believe she has left Mississippi and may be in Omaha, Nebraska, the department said.
