Omaha Star renovations underway as publisher seeks $1M to complete project

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Renovations of a North Omaha landmark are well underway. The Omaha Star is undergoing significant changes — and facing significant challenges to see them through.

The newsroom is being transformed and will eventually become a museum. The park outside the building has also been redesigned.

“There will be a stage with a pergola or porch. The stage will be lit, it will have electricity. The bust of Mildred Brown has been moved to the front of the property.
