The Belly of the Whale will open Thursday at 4422 Colwick Road in Charlotte’s Cotswold area. Fresh catches arrive daily. The menu shifts with what comes from the water.
Raynold and Tatiana Mendizabal run this 2,700-square-foot space as partners in work and life. Raynold has spent more than two decades diving and fishing off the Outer Banks, and he’ll helm the kitchen operations. Tatiana oversees guest services.
