One of the suspects in the January 2025 robbery of a Hendersonville location of Sunglass Hut is now facing charges in Sumner County.
Xavier Perez, 53, of Miami, was booked into the Sumner County Jail on July 7, 2026, and charged with theft of property over $250,000, burglary and vandalism. Perez and two other suspects, Alexander Trujillo Gomez, 49, and Lazaro Yansel Salazar Hechavarria, 28, both of Florida, face similar charges in Sumner County and Rutherford County. The Sumner County cases against Hechavarria and Gomez are on hold, pending the outcome of the Rutherford County charges.
