Family mourns carbon monoxide victims after fourth dies

A mother remembers one daughter as “the life of the party,” another as determined to follow in her big sister’s footsteps, and her 2-year-old son as a little boy who “left an impact on our world.”

Family members are trying to pick up the pieces after a fourth person died on Thursday as a result of a carbon monoxide poisoning incident the day before.

Celeste McAllister, the grandmother of four children who were found unconscious in an SUV in the 300 block of Phillips Avenue, said in addition to the woman and two children who died Wednesday, another child died Thursday. A fourth child is still hospitalized…
