SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The city parks department closed down all of its outdoor pools and golf courses, as well as the Clinton Square roller rink, due to smoke from the Canadian wildfires taking over the air.
Until the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation closes the statewide health advisory, according to a statement from the city parks department, the following places have been closed as of Thursday:
- Clinton Square Roller-Skating Rink
- Burnet Park Golf Course
- Burnet Park Pool
- Kirk Park Pool
- Lincoln Park Pool
- McKinley Park Pool
- Schiller Park Pool
- Sunnycrest Park Golf Course
- Thornden Park Pool
- Upper Onondaga Park Pool
- Wilson Park Pool
Outdoor recreational programs have been canceled, and all summer youth programs have been moved indoors.
