BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge Police Department intelligence detective is raising awareness about human trafficking, warning the crime is growing and increasingly overlapping with narcotics activity.
Detective Zach Evans has worked human trafficking cases at BRPD for about a year. He said the crime knows no geographic boundaries.
“The location doesn’t really matter,” Evans said. “They’ll choose wherever is available and do what they’re going to do.”
