Local man facing charges after allegedly attempting to cut someone with a knife

A Hopkinsville man is facing charges after he allegedly swung a knife at a victim on South Main Street on Tuesday.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers were called to the 1600 block of South Main for reports of a disturbance between residents. Investigation determined that an argument had begun between two individuals and 67-year-old Bennie Davis of Hopkinsville.

When the two victims began walking away from Davis, he reportedly followed them, continuing to shout. That’s when he allegedly pulled a knife and attempted to slash at one of the victims, while allegedly threatening to do him harm…
