PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A driver was taken into custody Thursday night after allegedly leading Pawtucket officers on a chase.
Police said officers attempted the conduct a traffic stop around 4 p.m. in Pawtucket when the suspect took off. In the process of fleeing, the driver allegedly backed into a cruiser and nearly struck an officer.
A pursuit then ensued into Providence where the vehicle was stopped and driver was arrested…
