ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A fatal vehicle crash in Kirkwood shut down westbound Interstate 44 near Sappington Road in the early hours on Friday.
The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. when a tractor-trailer struck a car that was stopped in the fourth lane of I-44. The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man, was seriously injured and the passenger, a 37-year-old man, died at the scene.
