Honolulu Reviewing Permit for Outdoor Lū’au Venue on 4.21 Acres in ‘Ewa Beach

A 4.21-acre outdoor recreation facility called the West Lagoon Lūʻau is up for city review on Waipana Street in ‘Ewa Beach—and residents have a chance to weigh in before a decision is made.

Haseko (‘Ewa) Inc. has applied for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Major through the city’s Department of Planning and Permitting, according to the public hearing notice. The project’s agent is R.M. Towill Corporation (Isaiah Sato). The 183,388-square-foot site sits within both BMX-3 (Community Business Mixed-Use) and B-1 (Neighborhood Business) zoning districts—designations that require special city approval before an outdoor venue of this type can operate.
