MARYLAND (DC News Now) — Thousands woke up Sunday without power after storms swept across the DMV Saturday evening, bringing heavy downpours.

As of Sunday morning, the outages were largely concentrated in the central Maryland area, according to an outage map from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE).
By 10:40 a.m., there were 438 active outages, with about 9,679 customers without service, the BGE map showed.
