WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A homicide investigation is underway in Washington, D.C. after a Saturday morning shooting left a man dead in the Deanwood neighborhood.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 5100 block of Sheriff Road NE shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday. There, they reported finding a man with gunshot wounds.
Officials noted that the man was unconscious and not breathing. Medics arrived at the scene and tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead.
