AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Youth Peace & Justice Foundation (YPJF), a Texas nonprofit, announced it has distributed more than $6,300 to help families that were impacted by recent flooding throughout the Hill Country and other counties.
As of Sunday, YPJF said it has provided those impacted with:
- Temporary lodging assistance
- Emergency food assistance
- Transportation assistance and local resource referrals
- Volunteer delivery of essential supplies
“Our volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure families receive help when they need it most,” said Daniel Bodhi Chapin, YPJF’s Founder and National Director. “The majority of our assistance has focused on keeping families in a safe place to stay, making sure they have food, and delivering essential items directly to those who cannot access them.

The nonprofit added that it was now looking for support to be able to continue to provide help for those in need. Some of the things that the nonprofit is asking for include: financial contributions, volunteers, bottled water, and hygiene products, amongst other things…
