WASHINGTON — A 48-year-old man was shot dead over the weekend in Northeast D.C. and police are searching for answers. So far, no arrests have been made and detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the person or people responsible.
According to a spokesperson for the police department, officers were called to the 5100 block of Sheriff Road, Northeast for a reported shooting around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. When they got there, they found Earl Levi Pinkney, Jr., from Capitol Heights, shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
