Closure of Akron’s Northside Marketplace causes uncertainty for some local businesses

The sudden closure of Akron’s Northside Marketplace has caused some disappointment and uncertainty about the future in the city’s small business community.

The building, which hosted more than 100 vendors including artists, clothing shops and a restaurant, will close on July 31, owner Testa Companies announced July 18.
