Family pleads for justice after 19-year-old shot and killed in Atlanta; no arrests announced

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Dre’Ana Shellman’s family said the 19-year-old “lit up” every room she entered, and they are asking the public to help investigators find the person responsible for her death.

Atlanta police said Shellman was shot and killed July 6 on Old Hapeville Road.

Relatives said Shellman was spending time with a friend when the friend’s boyfriend opened fire. The family said he shot at his girlfriend’s vehicle while Shellman was in the back seat and a bullet went through the car, killing her…
