NJ faces over 10,800 layoffs this year, including 1,000 cuts with two headquarters leaving the state

⚠️ Mars Wrigley and Samsung are separately moving their U.S. headquarters out of New Jersey.

New Jersey is losing out on U.S. headquarters of two big employers, which means a combined 1,000 layoffs announced in late July.

The grim news that Samsung Electronics America was taking its main office to Texas, where it already has multiple work operations, first broke in June.

Earlier this month, the company’s IT services affiliate, Samsung SDS America, announced layoffs out of the Ridgefield Park location.
