MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A company called Postland LLC promised remote workers across the country $4,200 a month to repackage and reship high-dollar items from home. But many of those workers say they never received a paycheck — and investigators say the company may never have existed at all.
Workers say they did the job, but never got paid
Michael Montgomery, a warehouse manager and father of three from Dayton, Texas, said he found the listing on Indeed while searching for a second source of income.
“I was looking for a second source of income and I seen it on Indeed,” Montgomery said. “I wanted to have an easy job, ship packages, and do things like that.”
Montgomery signed a contract with Postland LLC, uploaded his banking information, and submitted a photo of himself holding his ID — all at the company’s request. He said he completed a full month of work.
“I did everything they asked me to do according to the stipulations of their contract,” he said. “They did not fulfill their end of the contract. I did not receive $4,200.”…
