A Brockton man released on bail in an attempted murder case in West Bridgewater in 2025 has been arrested again and charged with strangling a 29-year-old woman inside a North Attleboro apartment, according to a police report obtained by The Enterprise.
Mario R. Babbs, 39, of Brockton, was arraigned July 1, 2026, in Attleboro District Court on charges of strangulation or suffocation, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery in connection with the new case, court records show.
Babbs pleaded not guilty to the charges and was ordered held without bail after being deemed dangerous to the community.
