“Dangerous” heat is in North Texas’ forecast this week with heat index values up to 112 degrees.
A heat advisory will be in effect for much of the region from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. If folks have to be outside Monday, or the rest of the week, the NWS is asking them to drink plenty of water, wear breathable clothing, never leaves kids or pets in a vehicle and take frequent breaks in the shade or in air-conditioned spaces.

- Monday, July 20- 101 degrees, heat index values up to 107 degrees
- Tuesday, July 21- 103 degrees, heat index values up to 108 degrees
- Wednesday, July 22- 105 degrees, heat index values up to 112 degrees
- Thursday, July 23- 102 degrees, heat index values up to 109 degrees
- Friday, July 24- 102 degrees, heat index values up to 109 degrees
