The building at 7703 E. Douglas that until recently was home to The Sweet Spot won’t be vacant long, it appears.
A “coming soon” sign appeared last week on the building advertising a restaurant called Chuan Harbor, which will serve Sichuan cuisine.
Landlord Lee Cole said that the restaurant is a new concept by the owners of The Sweet Spot, George and Julie Yang. He said it will be a sit-down restaurant, and the Yangs are shooting for an October opening.
The building’s latest tenant, The Sweet Spot, closed on June 28. The Yangs originally opened the restaurant in 2018 at 8448 W. Central but moved it to the Town East-adjacent address in January 2025…
