COLONIE, N.Y. (WNYT) — A driver was charged with DWI after a three-car crash on the Northway in Colonie hurt three people late Thursday, according to State Police.
Troopers responded at about 11:54 p.m. July 17 to the southbound lanes of the Northway. Investigators said a tow truck was stopped on the western shoulder to load a disabled vehicle that was also on the right shoulder, when another southbound vehicle hit the disabled vehicle.
Police said the disabled vehicle was pushed onto the tow truck bed, then rolled off the left side into the right travel lane. The tow truck operator and the driver and passenger from the disabled vehicle were outside at the time and were hit by crash debris…
