COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The William H. Spencer High School Mighty Greenwave Band is partnering with the Beats and Eats Food Truck Festival for the first-ever “Wave Fest” community event this Friday.
The event will feature food trucks, water slides, jump castles, a mobile gaming center, a DJ and a live performance from the band. Wave Fest is scheduled for Friday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Band director highlights community partnership
Band Director Joshua Bowman said the event is designed to connect students with the broader community.
“It’s important for that community partnership to exist because it gives the students an opportunity to know and understand that they have that community support behind them,” Bowman said.
