BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly weekend boat crash in Baldwin County as 46-year-old Kristen Delaney, a Mobile woman with deep ties to the local community.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Delaney was a passenger on a boat that collided with another vessel in the Intracoastal Waterway near Wolf Bay. She was transported to South Baldwin Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigators said eight people were on each boat, and several people between the two boats were injured.
Community impact
Details are emerging about Delaney’s involvement in the Mobile community. She is featured in several posts on the Beard Equipment Company’s Facebook page, which indicate she worked for the family-owned John Deere and construction equipment dealership in Mobile.
A post from Serve It Up with Love — a local charity tennis tournament — identified Delaney as a board member for the Child Advocacy Center. The organization thanked her for 18 years of commitment to helping keep children safe.

Delaney and her family were also supporters of the University of South Alabama.
