Boil water advisory for parts of Roanoke, Franklin County

ROANOKE/FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Western Virginia Water Authority issued a boil water notice for select customers in the Summit View Pressure Zone following a water line break on July 19, 2026.

  • 100 block of Adam Perry Road
  • 5000 block of Amanda Lane
  • 90 block of Apple Orchard Lane
  • 1800-2300 block of Brick Church Road
  • 7100 block of Boones Trail
  • 3400 block of Buck Mountain Road
  • 5200-5400 block of Clearbrook Lane
  • Circleview Drive
  • 300 block Clearbrook Village Lane
  • Commonwealth Parkway
  • 5700 block Cox Hopkins Road
  • East Park Lane
  • 5000 -7800 block Franklin Road
  • Gogginsville Road
  • 3300 – 5600 block Grassy Hill Road
  • 4000-4400 block Green Level Road
  • Hill Top Road
  • 5300 block Indian Grave Road
  • Iron Ridge Road
  • 5300 block Laurel Crest Lane

For all other customers of the Western Virginia Water Authority, officials say there is no need to boil water as water is safe to drink and use.

According to the Western Virginia Water Authority, the boil water advisory is because of a twelve-inch water line break at the intersection of Franklin Road and Winter Drive. This break resulted in the water system draining, which resulted in zero and/or negative pressure in the waterworks…
