Tallahassee, Florida — A sudden and powerful storm turned deadly for a Florida couple who had shared more than three decades of marriage after a large tree crashed onto their vehicle, leaving family members and friends mourning the loss of two people remembered as inseparable.
Authorities identified the victims as Patti Haller, 63, and Steve Haller, 65, who were driving through a residential neighborhood in Tallahassee on the evening of July 10 when the tragic incident occurred.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the couple was traveling through the area around 5:17 p.m. when a large tree suddenly fell across the front of their vehicle during severe weather.
