State’s oldest mall from 1960s faces $850m revamp – ‘city within a city’ to feature shops, restaurants & entertainment

THE oldest mall in a US state that was previously demolished has eyed a major comeback.

Mall shopping has changed in the US, according to experts, and some have been forced to revitalize themselves in order to compete again, while others have fallen by the wayside.

The Crossroads Mall, which opened in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1960 and was torn down in 2020, has announced a new development project to align it with modern tastes.
