ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The TBT defending champion Aftershocks made a statement against The Enchantment Monday night, winning 98-77 in game one of the best-of-three series.
It was probably shocking for Lobo fans to see how the game started. Morris Udeze put the Aftershocks on the board first with an alley oop. The same Morris Udeze who starred at New Mexico during the 2022-23 season. Prior to that, he played four years at Wichita State, which explains his playing with the Aftershocks, made up of Wichita State Alumni. Udeze scored 6 points and pulled down 4 rebounds.
The game was never in question as The Enchantment, made up of UNM Lobos and NMSU Aggies alumni, struggled to make shots and appeared out of sync. The Enchantment trailed by as much as 30 points and found themselves down 48-22 at halftime. KJ Jenkins led The Enchantment with 22 points while Jemel Jones finished with 21.
