CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man on probation for a previous drug trafficking conviction has been sentenced to 15 years for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, United States Attorney Russ Ferguson reports.
In February, 52-year-old Robert James Salyards, of Claremont, was stopped for speeding when deputies spotted a glass meth pipe in the front console.
A search of the vehicle found a clear plastic bag with 111 grams of methamphetamine, an eyeglass case with another plastic bag with 3.7 grams of methamphetamine, and a third baggie with 26 grams of methamphetamine on the driver’s seat, for a total of over 140 grams of meth…
