In comparison to Monday, we’ve ended up less active throughout Tuesday. However, an isolated shower or storm remains possible for areas north of I-40 overnight. The heat and humidity will be noted before showers and thunderstorms ramp up late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs will warm into the upper 80s with feels-like temperatures around 100 degrees. We will indirectly be impacted by Bertha for the rest of the week as branches of tropical-like moisture stream up into the Carolinas, which will interact with the cold front that moves in.
