GREER, S.C. (WSPA) — An Upstate church was in the middle of service Tuesday night when congregation members had to evacuate due to a small fire.
The Greer Fire Department reported that the fire occurred at New Hope Nation on Valentine Lane.
Investigators said a flood light shorted the circuit, sending smoke into the church and prompting evacuations.
