Woman killed in early morning crash on South Saunders Street

A 31-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Raleigh, according to Raleigh police.

Officers responded to the crash in the 2600 block of South Saunders Street around 4:40 a.m. Police identified the woman as Tyesha Parker and said she was crossing the street when she was struck by a white Honda Accord traveling northbound.

Police said the area had limited lighting at the time of the crash and that Parker was wearing dark clothing…
