(KRON) — Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit said emergency crews responded on Tuesday to a vehicle crash into a Napa Valley vineyard.
One person was taken to a nearby hospital after veering off the roadway, according to Cal Fire. The extent of injuries was unknown. No other injuries were reported.
The crash happened on the 1000 block Silverado Trail in St. Helena, in the area of private winery and club The Napa Valley Reserve.
“Firefighters cut back vegetation to gain access to the vehicle and assist with its removal from the vineyard,” said Cal Fire in a social media post.
It is not clear what led to the incident, and officials did not provide details on potential charges.
Cal Fire added, “As temperatures rise and summer travel increases, remember to drive safely. Slow down, stay focused, and if you begin to feel drowsy, pull over in a safe location to rest. A few minutes of rest can help prevent a serious crash.”…
