SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A traffic stop led to the recovery of an illegal handgun from the streets of Syracuse last Wednesday.
According to a statement from the Syracuse Police Department, at around 5:46 p.m., two officers stopped a vehicle in the Southside neighborhood after noticing it didn’t stop at a stop sign and had illegally tinted side windows.
After investigating, officers found a minor in possession of a loaded Springfield Armory 9mm handgun. Officers brought him into custody without incident and recovered the firearm safely, the statement said…
