The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport continues its expansion as the City of Guthrie has been awarded a state grant to help fund the construction of a new terminal building and aircraft apron.
The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics approved the funding during its July 15 meeting, paving the way for a $6.9 million project that will modernize one of Oklahoma’s busiest general aviation airports.
The project will be funded through a combination of federal, state and local dollars, including nearly $6 million in Federal Aviation Administration grant funding, $465,307.70 from the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, and $465,307.71 in local matching funds shared equally by the Cities of Guthrie and Edmond…
