Man arrested after bomb threats called into Thornton pool, recreation center Tuesday

Thornton police arrested a man Tuesday evening after a pair of bomb threats were called into city facilities earlier in the day.

Lane Moreau, 28, faces two counts of false reporting of explosives after he allegedly called separate bomb threats into the Thornton City Pool, located in the 2100 block of East 95th Avenue and the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center, located in the 11100 block of Colorado Boulevard, around 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Thornton Police Department.

Law enforcement responded to both locations and assisted with evacuating each, but no suspicious items were found, according to the release. Both areas were cleared by 5 p.m. Tuesday and are expected to resume normal operations Wednesday…
