RALEIGH, NC — Family, friends, neighbors and coworkers are mourning Scott and Jennifer Christofferson after the couple was killed in a crash on July 4 while heading to the airport. Their young child was also in the Fast Park shuttle when a car reportedly ran a red light, hit the shuttle and caused it to roll over.
People who knew the Christoffersons described them as caring, generous and deeply devoted to their family. A neighbor said the sudden loss has been difficult to process.
Remembered Fondly
Neighbors said the Christoffersons stood out for their kindness and for the way they treated others. Scott Christofferson worked for years as a pharmacist at UNC Rex, where he was known to many teammates across UNC Health.
His sister, Brooke Christofferson, said the family is devastated by the deaths of Scott and Jen. In her statement, she said the couple lived adventurous lives and made the world brighter for the people around them.
