Thunderstorms, some which may be strong to severe, will be found across the southern Delmarva Peninsula as well as eastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina today.
A slow-moving cold front will slowly sag into the Mid-Atlantic and North Carolina today, bringing with it scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms will have the potential to produce heavy downpours and damaging wind gusts of up to 40-50 mph.
The government’s Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) for the southern portion of the Delmarva Peninsula, a large portion of eastern Virginia and a sliver of northeastern North Carolina.
