Lebanon City residents got a blast from the past with items from the city’s time capsule, which were displayed to the public for the first time in 50 years.
City officials displayed the contents of the 1976 Bicentennial Time Capsule for residents during a presentation at City Hall on July 20. The city’s Public Works department unearthed the capsule on July 1 at Coleman Memorial Park as part of the America250 celebrations.
Items buried in the time capsule include letters from community leaders, community essays, maps, citations, a $2 bill, a Lebanon County bronze coin, a downtown tour guide and a 1976 silver dollar…
