MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures this morning are running well above average, with many locations starting in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Some beach communities are already in the mid-80s.
While today’s highs will remain above average, most areas won’t be quite as hot as yesterday. A Heat Advisory is in effect only for Horry County. Afternoon temperatures will reach the low 90s at the beaches and the mid to upper 90s inland.
We’ll also have a few scattered showers and thunderstorms with partly sunny skies, but most of today’s rainfall is expected to hold off until after midnight…
