SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – LaMar Cook, the former regional office director for Governor Maura Healey who is facing drug trafficking charges, was back in a Springfield courtroom Wednesday.
Cook is accused of receiving eight kilograms of cocaine at the State Office Building on Dwight Street in Springfield back in October. He is also facing firearms-related charges.
Cook was fired from his position, but received $31,000 from the state for unused vacation pay. Cook argues he is entitled to the payment because his employment ended before criminal charges were brought against him. The Commonwealth filed a complaint in January to recover the funds paid to Cook…
