YOUNGSVILLE, La. (NEWS 15) — Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital and the Lafayette Public Library will co-host a free community event on Wednesday focused on menopause and perimenopause care, offering women — particularly those without a regular provider — an open forum to ask questions and learn about their health.
More than a million women across the United States enter perimenopause and menopause every year. Louisiana is one of two states that require health insurance to cover the necessary treatment and care.
