Alleged fight between Sedgwick County detention deputies leads to one’s arrest

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy was arrested Tuesday.

The agency said there was allegedly a fight between him and another detention deputy shortly before 4 p.m. at an apartment complex near Lincoln Street and Webb Road. Both were off-duty.

After an investigation, the Wichita Police Department arrested one of the deputies, a 39-year-old Wichita man. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property.
